Muhurat or Muhurtam is the most appropriate and auspicious time for doing certain things and following these timings increases the chances of the task undertaken to be fruitful and successful. Auspicious month for Griha Pravesh: The months of Magha, Phalgun, Vaishakh, Jyeshtha are considered best for entering the house, while the months of Ashadha, Sawan, Bhado, Ashwin, Paush etc. are not considered auspicious for entering the house.

Auspicious date for Griha Pravesh: It is auspicious to enter the house on Dwitiya, Tritiya, Panchami, Saptami, Dashami, Ekadashi, Dwadashi and Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha except Amavasya, Poornima, Panchak, Krishna Paksha and Grahan etc.

Auspicious day for Griha Pravesh: All days of the week are considered auspicious except Tuesday and in some special circumstances, Sunday and Saturday.

Griha Pravesh: It is always auspicious to enter a house in a stable ascendant. Do this work by asking a pandit for the lagna.

Griha Pravesh: Rudra, Shweta, Mitra, Sarabhat, Savitra, Vairaja, Vishwavasu, Abhijit, Rohin, Bal, Vijay, Rnet, Varuna, Soumya and Bhaga are these 15 Muhurtas. Fourteenth on Ravi, twelfth on Monday, tenth on Tuesday, eighth on Wednesday, sixth on Guru's day, fourth on Friday and second Muhurta on Saturday is considered forbidden in auspicious work.
